Ames Construction, Inc. is seeking certified and qualified DBE subcontractors and suppliers to meet the 21% goal for the following:

PROJECT: Bradley Bridge Over Salt Creek, CIP No. 13-04
OWNER: City of Menifee

DBE Subs/Suppliers required include but are not limited to: The work generally consists of existing roadway demolition, construction CIDH piles in wet conditions, installing a bridge structure, retaining walls, new roadway work, utilities, storm drain system, traffic signal, signing and striping. The structure will be a three span, cast-in-place
prestressed (CIP/PS) concrete box girder bridge. The structure will be 335'-0" long and 66'-0" wide.  There are no existing structures at the proposed location. Utility improvements will include 647 LF of 12” water line, 567 LF of 24” waterline, 503 LF of 18” recycled water line, and 342 LF of 48” recycled water line within the new bridge structure and roadway. Roadway improvements will include a new pavement section, vertical realignment of the bridge approaches at both ends, lighting. Subcontractors needed but not limited to the following clearing and grubbing, demolition, rebar, prestressing, CIDH, electrical, HMA paving, landscaping, storm drain, waterline, sewer, minor concrete, striping, traffic control, structure excavation, structure backfill. Materials needed but not limited to the following concrete, RCP, waterline, import, export, trucking. Ames Construction, Inc. will work with subcontractors and suppliers to breakdown items into economical feasible packages and to establish delivery/construction schedules to allow for maximum DBE participation.

Ames will require bidder to provide performance and payment bonds for the full amount of the Subcontract values.  Costs of the bonds are to be provided as a separate line item. Also, let us know if you need assistance in obtaining necessary equipment, supplies, materials or related assistance or services for this project. Please contact us for more information. Ames’ Subcontract terms and conditions will apply to any contracts resulting from this request. The Subcontractor, by submission of its bid, agrees to the “Terms and Conditions” including all Exhibits and Attachments of Ames Subcontract Agreement.
