General work description: The work generally consists of existing roadway demolition, construction CIDH piles in wet conditions, installing a bridge structure, retaining walls, new roadway work, utilities, storm drain system, traffic signal, signing and striping. The structure will be a three span, cast-in-place prestressed (CIP/PS) concrete box girder bridge. The structure will be 335'-0" long and 66'-0" wide. There are no existing structures at the proposed location. Utility improvements will include 647 LF of 12” water line, 567 LF of 24” waterline, 503 LF of 18” recycled water line, and 342 LF of 48” recycled water line within the new bridge structure and roadway. Roadway improvements will include a new pavement section, vertical realignment of the bridge approaches at both ends, lighting.

Riverside Construction Company, Inc is willing to break items of work into smaller increments to assist DBE/WBE/MBE Contractors and Suppliers in obtaining work on this project. Riverside Construction Company, Inc. is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. Riverside Construction Company, Inc. is interested in soliciting in Good Faith, including assistance in obtaining bonds, lines of credit, insurance, necessary equipment, materials and/or supplies. Include with your bid the Time required for Performance of your work and any Delivery Schedules so that we can establish a Flexible Timeframe for your work. Subcontractors may be required to furnish performance and payment bonds in the full amount of their subcontract by an admitted surety and subject to approval by our estimating department. A Worker’s Compensation Waiver of Subrogation will be required. Conditions or exceptions in Subcontractor’s quote are expressly rejected unless accepted in writing. Subcontractor scope (including any conditions or exceptions) is required 24 hours prior to bid deadline to allow proper evaluation. Quotes are required to be in accordance with the plans and specifications and good for the contract duration as specified in the bid documents. In order to assist DBE contractors and suppliers, Riverside Construction Company will divide bid items into smaller tasks or quantities when feasible to facilitate maximum Participation.
