General work description: General work description: Preparing existing District infrastructure to accept the direct installation of the Next Generation Fare Gates. Work includes labor and materials. Tasks include but are not limited to core drilling and saw cutting through concrete, brick, and terrazzo, and repairing them to access embedded electrical and communications ducts. This will involve extending the exposed ducts, installing new pull boxes and risers for the underfloor ducts, and installing electrical outlets, electrical wire, circuit breakers, and communications cables and circuits for copper, fiber optic networks with associated conduit and testing. Work will be done by the Contractor on a per-station construction Task Order basis. Work will include moving the faregates from District warehouses to the job site and installation, among others.

Quotes for Services and Supplies requested for the following items for bid including, but not limited to: Demolition, Concrete, HVAC , Electrical, New Pull Boxes, Misc. Electrical Supply, Terrazzo/Flooring, Carpenter, Hazardous Material Abatement, Removal, & Disposal. See plans & specs for complete list of bid items.

We are signatory to both the Carpenters Collective Bargaining Agreement and the Laborers Collective Bargaining Agreement.  Certification of insurance for General Liability and Workers’ Compensation are required.  A Waiver of Subrogation will also be required with all Subcontract Agreements. Subcontractors’ faithful performance and payment bonds in the amount of the subcontract price will be required.  Reasonable market rate bond premium will be reimbursed by Thompson Builders Corporation.

Our estimating department is available for assistance with bonding, lines of credit, insurance, equipment, supplies and/or materials.
