Project: Runway 17/35 Reconstruction Phase V

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project entails the fifth phase of the reconstruction of the asphalt portions of Runway 17/35, consisting of the removal and replacement of approximately 120,000 square feet of structural runway pavement section to current FAA Design Standards. Ancillary to the runway reconstruction work, partial replacement of approximately 1,600 linear feet of existing asphalt runway shoulders shall be performed. Phase V includes improvements to the existing storm drainage system at the intersection of Runways 17/35 and 3/21, where approximately 1,800 linear feet of storm drain piping will be installed. Reconstruction of the Runway 3 blast pad pavement (88,000 square feet) shall be performed with the storm drain improvements along with improving an existing storm water basin. Lastly, Phase V will entail the reconstruction of approximately 35,000 square feet of taxilane PCC pavement.

Requirements: Miller is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers. 100% performance and payment bonds required for the full amount of the subcontract price. Miller may assist with the bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation insurance coverage meeting Miller’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Miller Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreements can be obtained by contacting the Estimator. Subcontractors must also be registered with a current DIR number. Quotations will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary. Miller will work with interested subcontractors to identify opportunities to break down items into economically feasible packages.
