General work description: Establishing the detour route around the project site, Installing a temporary pedestrian bridge at the location and close Sacramento Street to through traffic, but maintaining vehicular and pedestrian access,  traffic control, Removing and replacing the existing Sacramento Street Bridge, Construction of new retaining walls adjacent to the replacement bridge, Reconstructing the Sacramento Street road approaches, Reconstructing the Sacramento Street intersections with Illinois Street, Farragut Avenue, and Yolo Avenue, Reconstruction portions of Illinois Street, Farragut Avenue, and Yolo Avenue adjacent to Sacramento Street, Reconstructing sidewalks, private driveways, sidewalks, stairs, walls and fences , new street lights and bridge lighting, storm drain, water, and sanitary sewer utility work

The DBE Contract goal is 11 percent.

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator.
