General work description: The Project generally involves developing the corridor into a complete street by enhancing multimodal operations and safety. Project Limit: West San Carlos Street between I-880 and McEvoy Street. Proposed Improvements: modify intersection corners i.e., bulb-outs, reduce corner radii, to slow turning traffic and increase pedestrian and bicycle safety, add new/enhance existing crosswalks, install ADA compliance curb ramps, RRFB, median islands, bio-retention, bike racks, landscaping and modify traffic signals including adding/upgrading intelligent transportation system (ITS) technologies.

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Landscape, Tree Services; Pipe Supplier; Drainage Systems Supplier; Construction Staking; Construction Area Signs; Traffic Control System; Traffic Flagger; Reset, Relocate, Adjust, Modify Roadway Items; Clearing & Grubbing; Roadway Excavation;  Irrigation System; Landscape Care And Maintenance Services; Roadside Sign; Sewer Manhole; Concrete Curb & Sidewalk- Misc; Saw Cutting; Thermoplastic Traffic Striping & Marking; Painted Traffic Striping & Marking; Remove Pavement Marking & Traffic Stripes; Pavement Marker; Signal & Lighting (Furnishing, Installing, Modifying Or Removing );Signal (Installation Of Signals);Lighting (Installation Of Street Lights); Swppp Planning; Street Sweeping Truck; Trucking ;Landscaping Contractor; "Cutting Concrete Or ;Excavation"; Demolition; Construction Staking (Surveying)

The DBE Contract goal is 21%

The estimated cost of the project is $7,754,680

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%.
